Switching from 88 DX Rear Suspension to the 89-91 Rear Suspension
Hi, I've noticed that it's rare to find or special order parts to get suspension for the 1988 Honda CRX DX. Would it be easier to just switch over to the 89-91 Rear suspension? I heard the only real differences are the 88 eye socket style vs the 89-91 Fork style suspension. Could I just switch the Rear Lower Control arms off the 89-91 with my LCA of the 88 one? Thanks much.
Yup, you can just switch the LCAs. I was gonna do that to my crx but I got a set of 90-91 crx si rear disk brakes for free.

you can use 89-91 civic lower control arms. To make this work, you'll need the rear struts from the 89-91 civic or 90-93 integra. 88 bottom strut mount is different than the 89-91. DA Integra lower control arms will do the trick too.

Great info 88 SiR. I'm just deciding if I should get my Koni Yellow / Ground Control for my 1988 CRX or swap my rear to the 90-91 SI Brakes and just get my suspension for those instead. Thank you for the replies everyone
