resetting ECU
my friend got CEL on his 03 accord. he brought it to his mechanic and he said the CEL isnt a problem and it should reset itself in a few days. my friend wasnt clear as to why he got the CEL but my question is, will the CEL go away on its own and for future reference, how can i reset the ECU? thanks
always try searching for these kinds of topics. ECU's generally are reset by unplugging the battery about 1/2 or so, and then connecting it again. I don't know your vehicle especially, but On your vehicle, you might want to try searching through what people have said on those. Good luck

Not too sure on the 03's but on the 6th gens pull fuse thirteen and let it sit for a 30 secs, that will reset it, and since you don't pull the battery cord you don't lose any presets cept for the clock.
