Battle allmotor street- Deck Plate rule
just curious as to why Battle does not allow deck plates, and Nopi does. what are the reasons, and does anyone know if IDRC will be allowing them with their new rulebook?

i just think that it's alittle unfair to those who want to stroke their motor.
i was bored so i just emailed 4 of the top people at BOTI, lol. just to see what they say.

i dont think nopi allows deck plates.
they allow the dart block, but standard deck height only
2nd, you dont need a deckplate to stroke your motor.

nopi doesnt say that they dont allow them.
and its better to use one with say a 95mm crank

if it doesnt say they allow them, according to section 1.4 you must assume they disallow them.
2nd. have you ever run a 95mm w/o a deckplate or are you just assuming its not good???

check out the NOPI rule book for the entire description. but basically it says.
"Where no regulation or spec exists, modification is PROHIBITED."
therefore, since it doesnt say step decks are legal. they are disallowed.

In the NOPI rulebook it clearly states that You must use standard deck height motors in the street classes. You are allowed to use stepped deck blocks in some of the Pro classes.
Nothing is fair anymore in this class... I mean how fair can you be when your the worlds fastest all motor honda "street car" and you have Aluminum rods in your motor... Now since when have aluminum rod motors been able to be street driven and if so how far can you really drive your aluminum rod motor around for? I knoe those rods usually only last about 100 quarter mile runs after that they stretch then break. Should there be a rule against that also? after all it is supoosed to be registered and when you have registration you drive your car on the street rite? not with a aluminum rod motor you dont.

who says a street class car has to be registered? mine isnt. not b/c it cant be driven on the street...but because its not worth my time and money at the DMV to put tags on a car that i dont drive on the street, i have a nice cushy chevy for that.
