Default Fuel pump problem

Ive had a problem with my car not starting for a while, i replcaed fuel injectors and distributor. still had the same problem

I had around $3.00 worth of gas in the tank and for some reason i decided to put about $5.00 more in there and now it will try to start just a lil but still wont start

do u think this could be a fuel pump probelm? i can hear it prime up but im still thinking its a fuel pump problem.

also i replaced the fuel filter

when did this problem start, just out of the blue one day? or were you doing something mechanical to the car and now it doesn't run. basicaly, what makes you think it's a fuel related problem?

well since it already had some gas in it. and i decided to put more in it then it tried to start a lil. and sounds like its starving for ruel main relay is good too

It was running fine a few months ago and day by day it sarted running worse finally it woudnt start anymore

I replaced thought it was the ignitor so i tried my friends distributor off his car, replaced plugs and wires, main relay and fuel filter. but when i put over 5.00 in gas plug what was in there it trys to start a lil now but sounds like its starving for fuel

compression is good on the motor too

Sounds to me like your tank is cloggged up on the pickup or something, but that's just a stab in the dark.

Install a fuel pressure gage on your fuel filter and then try to start the car.
This will help you troubleshoot the problem. It got worse day to day. Sounds like your fuel pump failed. I know you hear it prime up, that just means it got power. If it's a daily driver then the lines shouldn't get clogged. Check for kinks in the supply/return lines. If you have good pressure, replace fuel pressure regulator.

Have someone try to start your car while putting pressure on the fuel hose to see if it has pressure.
