Default My 1st 1/4 Time with new motor..CRVtec

Well I went to the track last night, and ran my best 14.29

My setup....

B20b Block(stock)
B16a3 head(stock except for GSR cam)
Skunk2 IM
An-R Compact Header (open)
Crane Cam Plug wires(POS!!! NEED TO CHANGE THOSE!)
AEM short Ram

My best MPH was 101.3 But I think that was with a 14.4 pass...... with a 2.5 60'

I just want to see everyones opinions on this..... Thanx.

good im glad all you thought the same thing...... 1st off im using the b16a3 tranny....I forgot the code for it..... I think y21 but im not sure. Slicks... no... shitty *** sumitomo tires.

Reasons for shitty 60'

Driver side Axle busted, it has been spewing out grease for about a week now.... and I get wheel hop while going in reverse

I have no a/c bracket that act's as a front mount.... I only have the tranny side.

And like I said earlier my sumitomo's on steelies... SUCK! spining thru 2nd... really sucked... lol

My 60's will improve big time.... im hoping on some Jimfab traction bars... a new axle, some sort of fabricated mount bracket for the a/c.... and maybe some better tires if I can afford it.

well see that's the thing i don't have an a/c bracket.... I found a guy on here that has a p72 bracket.... but I don't want to spend more money and that not work.....

My skill.... I always like to improve my skill, espcially with a new motor and such, I just need traction... and no wheel hop! haha

I personally think the traction bars will do the best.... I can borrow tires when it comes down too it...

Prolly got such a high trap cause of the steels, on normal sized rims and good 60fts i predict you can run 14.1 or 14flat.

That trap speed netted me a 13.5 on Azenis...you have the power, just put it to the ground!

Good luck

That's a nice trap speed for your setup. How much does the '97 Coupe weigh? 2500-2600lb?

At stock rail pressure, he doesn't need a fuel pump until 300 whp.

keep in mind, traction, weight, altitude and weather, at sea level he's in the 13's easy.
