Default Painting Wheels...

Ok I own a 240sx (no I am not a bandwagoner from the honda community), I have had it for a couple of years and I know you guys are pretty knowledgeable because my brother owns an EK and comes here for alot of help.

I remember seeing a post here on how a guy painted his rims and the results were fantastic. I hope to paint a set of 300ZX TT rims I am throwing on bronze. I got the aircraft stripper and plan on sanding the wheels at 400, then wetsand at 800. I first need to know if this is a good way of going about sanding for primer. Then I plan on throwing on a coat of primer from AutoZone. Now here is where I am stuck. Where the hell do I get a bronze wheel paint? The guys on FreshAlloy say that they have it at automotive stores, BUT THEY DON'T! They say get Bronze Dupli-Color Wheel paint, but they don't even have it on their website and they say it is not the automotive stuff... ugh.

I am really lost on where to get the paint here and would like a push in the right direction thanks. And I also plan on clear coating them.

I can't seem to find any at an AutoZone or Murray's. I even ask the guys there and they are just clueless (not surprising though).

On DupliColor's website they list four colors for the "Wheel Coating"

Since this duplicolor paint is non-existent and duplicolor won't get back to me I guess I will just use some paint in a can from ACE. I am going for bronze, any certain types of paint I should look for? It will be on some autozone primer...

Hey why are you wet sanding it down to 800??? Wouldn't that leave absolutely nothing for the paint to hold to? Do the Z rims come with a clearcoat over the aluminum as is? Whats the area code for downtown miami?
