Upper radiator hose swollen like hell! HELP!
See attached pic. The hose swells as the coolants warms up. It just happened today after i opened the radiator cap and add a little bit of coolant to the reservoir. What happened?? I was thinking there might be trapped air, then i run the car with the radiator cap off and sqeezed the upper hose. But now I couldnt really tell if i fix the problem since the hose seems seems like damaged and wont return to its normal size.

hoses swell either when they are horny or when the inside breaks down, which will happen to most of the worlds rubber hoses eventually.....it will pop if you don't replace it and you may very well die of burns

The hose has gotten weak, you need a replacement ASAP before it blows and you have coolant ALL OVER your bay.

Thanks VRDrvr for the image trick. Certainly I will replace the hose tomorrow. I was just wondering why it could happen in out of a sudden and worried if it had something to do with taking off the cap earlier.
