i think this is going to make or break skunk2 as a company. If skunk comes out and proves that there k-series product line is what they claim it be, then it will survive...this is just my opinion....

i was told the same thing by the guy that ports their B series heads. ive said it in another post but from what i understand, NHRA does not want all motor cars in the 9s. they will put weight in the cars to keep them in the low 10s, we will see as the season goes on though.

ya know, i never did ask what the reasoning was, but the guy i was talkin to helps run a NHRA track. besides keeping the field tight i really dont know the answer to ur question. ask "old guy" on here and he might tell u something different from what i was told. ::shrugs::

That will not tighten the field up though. If you have to add weight across the field then the fast cars will still be faster than the others. 9 second cars wil be 10 second cars and 10 sec. cars will be 11 sec cars, so on a so forth. Or do they just penalize the fast guys and let the others catch up, is that fair?

We shall see how they do this weekend against Norris' new setup. Last week 10.9* with what I would call a stock setup on Alky.... He should be here at the end of the day with his new motor for us to tune.

It has yet to run 9's or 10's. Shawn will drive the hell out of it, but we'll see what the car is capable of this weekend...

As Loan Said... it hasn't run a 9, 10,11, or 12... the car has never made a pass yet... Shawn Will drive it hard that's for sure... we'll see what happens this weekend...

i hope the nhra stops being gay with this limiting thing . there are so many restrictions as it is . if they limit it to 10's , how is this sport gonna progress?
I'm definately looking forward to seeing this car run. The old Skunkworks Integra was one of my favorite cars to watch back in the day in it's Silver/White scheme. Can't wait to see this one.
It's about time... But Skunk will do good they always do. And that damn Shawn Hillier is a bad *** driver. I wish I could be as cool as him. He is my idol.

word. even if they were b-series still....they have fell off. you cant be marketing products and not producing at the track with the parts you sell. although they dont use they same specs they sell.

well the nhra in general is a joke that has destroyed import racing. they block out the real racers and bring in these sponsored rejects. that in my book is not racing. the nhra will never have my support. and as far as skunk cummon please this company has made it living stealing others ideas. to the owner dave
cummon man be original. and to also let sean drive the rsx over tony who has been there for years and years that just shows you how sad dave is in general. my respect goes out to tony. but im sure all these drama queen will be saying im talking smack about sean nope he is a great driver who deserves more respect unfortunetly he never got it under the lnatural badge.

well these posts were made for opinions, and i am definetly opionated. but i have dealt with dave before and giving props to skunk2 is just way too much. also im an oldschool racer who would drive to races compete then drive home: it looks like those days are gone. [thank you nhra] but yeah i say what i need to and hopefully i dont step on too many peoples toes. ther are alot of problems with the import industry and they need to be spoken about. and great things like honda-tech allow racers to express that. and sometimes we are wrong and hopefully we can learn from those moments/mistakes in life.

I feel where you are coming from, the sport has become really corporate. Its good in some ways, and bad in other. If people dont enjoy traveling or dont have the funds; remember where you came from and ask why you are building your race car. Cause if its to make money Im sorry wrong place to do it. You can easily promote a local shop by attending your local events and being consistant. You might not be setting records but try to be the best with what you have. I know I dont have any money to travel no further than dallas but hey I have fun (key word) doing what keeps me busy and entertained.goodluck to everyone-pdang
