Default taking the airbox off your filter in an RS

I just took of the top of the airbox for the air filter. I get this awesome sound now, but the filter is exposed. Is this ok for the engine?

Thanks

It will not hurt the engine because the air is still being filtered.

won't hurt anything. Just like haveing an intake, just a little more restrictive. I had mine like that the first month I had my car, before I got my AEM cai.

It will however make your filter get much dirtier way faster. Check it in 2 days and you'll notice twigs and dust all up in the "cracks" of the filter. Like they said, nothing bad to the engine, but the filter will get dirtier...

Hace fun!
