Motor mounts on 1990 civic LX
How hard will it be to replace a motor mount on a 1990 civic LX? I have good mechanical ability and tools, but no engine lift or any thing special.
(I'm thinking about buying the car for my 16 year old son...)
Thanks,
Doug

The front is an easy affair if you have a floor jack to support the motor (not on the oilpan). The rear mounts are kind of difficult to get to, but once you gain access it should be pretty straightforward. I higly suggest having a tall set of very secure jackstands so that you can use the jack to tilt the motor if you need extra space.
