What is the difference between 88 - 91 CRX Si rear struts?
I plan on adding a rear lower swaybar to my 88 rex hf. i already have the parts, my problem is that i'm not sure what year to buy the struts. 88 & 90 have different part numbers.
i have the lower control arms off from a 92 teg & 91 rex Si, i also have the swaybar from the teg & rex. which would be better?

Well if you kept the stock 88 rear LCA's you need 88 style strut (eyebolt mount). This is similar to the Type-R rear LCA. In 89-91 the rear LCA/strut changed to the fork mount type.
Since you have them and also want to do the rear sway bar, I'd say use the 91 CRX-Si rear LCA's. They will have the threaded hole in the LCA for the swaybar endlinks already, your 88 HF LCA's won't. So then you'd need struts made for 89-91 (fork type mounting).
You just need to decide on a way to attach the swaybar L-brackets that mount to the frame rails. There will be holes, but they won't have threaded nuts welded to the backside. So you need to figure out how to secure the L-brackets. Some just weld them to the frame rails; while some use really long bolts, cut a couple holes and put a nut on the floor side of the spare tire well.

Stock rear sway bars attach in 4 places:
The first 2 areas, are on each of the rear LCA's. The endlinks bolt into threaded holes on the LCA. You have the 91 Si LCA's, they have the holes and they swap out stock for stock, you're good here.
The second 2 areas, are L-brackets. The sway bar mounts to them via a bushing in a D-shaped bracket bolted (1 bolt per bracket) to the L-bracket. You said you have all the parts, so you should still be good up to here.
The L-bracket themselves attach to the unibody/frame rails under the hatch/trunk area. Each L-bracket is held on with 3 bolts. On an Si, since it came stock with a rear bar, you will have 3 holes that have a welded nut on the backside providing threads for those bolts. On an HF, since it didn't come with a stock rear bar, they drilled the holes but did not add the nuts.
So this is the catch I'm talking about... You may have all the parts, but the HF chassis side is lacking 6 welded nuts.
