Will a external coil give a fuel pump power??

In my current fmu setup I have my power hooked directly up to the coil? Would this work or do i need to find a different source?

I don't understand. FMU? Like the thing that goes on the fuel return line that has no wiring? Ignition coil? What are you talking about? Maybe i'm just an idiot.

Sorry, I meant for the fuel pump on my set up not the regulator..
