Tie rods on a 91 civic dx
hey i have a problem with the tie rods on my rolling chasis 91 civic dx. the driver side tire is leaning way out(the top) The previous owner said it just needed the tie rods bolts tightened but for safety sake im gonna get new ones. So would it be the inner or outer ones that would cause the wheels to go like this. And also i am putting in new front brakes and i want good ones that wont give me brake fade at high speeds any suggestions?
Thanks
Thanks
Tie rods adjust toe. From your description of the problem it sounds like you have a severe camber problem, not toe.
Jack up the car and check your upper and lower control arms to see if they are in good condition.
Normally you don't get brake fade unless you brake constantly. If you are just slowing down from high speeds then even a stock pad should work. You shouldn't get fade unless you are going fast, braking, accelerating, braking, .... continuously as to heat up the pad beyond it's heat range that it's composition was designed for.
