Default Lower Ball Joint Replacement ???

I am about to replace my lower ball joints with stock honda factory ones. Any recommendations on what I should replace at the same time? about upper ball joints? Let me know. It will be my project this weekend.

i will put it to you this way. this past winter i replace the upper arms with new ball joints, lower ball jonts, both tie rod ends, put a progress camber kit on the front and the rear. and about two months befor that i put skunk2 coilovers wand koni yellows on. i also put brand new 88 civic lower controll arms with typeR koni's in the rear.

just doing all the ball joints and tie rods in the front made the car so much better to drive. make sure you get an alignment, that is very important. after doing all of this my car has never felt better driveing it. it handles so much better and has a lot better steering response then before. good luck and have fun doing them.

as for wheel bearings you can do them but if its not broke dont fix it.

thanks jose..that is what i want to hear....the fronts are the ones that need replacing really....they are tore up really bad...my rear are still good...i am running koni yellows with skunks coils as well....dont ride good because of my front ball joints....are horrible....rubber is all tore up....meaning grease is probably all dried up...had the car for almost a year and its been doing that the whole time i have had it....just never checked....if its not broke dont fix it...thats when u start getting into problems....atleast for me....so would it be good just to replace the front lower and upper ball joints? let me know....just to confirm one more time...thanks...

yes i would and if you have the extra green then do the tie rod ends as well. as for the upper ball joints im not sure if they sell just the joint i think you may have to buy the hole upper arm. thats what i did. not to expensive. i think i payed around. 120-150 for both of mine. good luck man. she will fell better once this is done.

extended studs is another thought to consider while you have everything off i did this to mine. but my race wheels are soon to be 13x8's so this is need with a 1/4" spacer. i would worry about the rears i just did them cause i put typeR koni's in the rear and they are on a different monting point. the same as the 88 civic's
