Default Rust on cams.

Are cams that have minor rust on them safe to use? Can it just be removed without problems. Anyone with any experience with this please reply.

High grit sandpaper should do the trick.

Cool, so this wouldn't prevent you guys from buying a cam that looks like this?

looks like surface rust, where someone try to clean without relubricating the cam. Looks fine to me.

Dude, was this sitting in your garage? I hope this didn't happen while IN the car, if so, you have larger problems, and i wouldn't use the cam. get a micrometer and check all its dimensions if you get the possiblity if you go to a garage. Make sure to double check installation (they have good tips on here if you search).
