Default blown z6 motor, gold shavings in bottom end what is it.

ok well sumthing was wrong with the motor so i took it out and take it apart. i have gold shavings in my oil. the problem the car was making was a loud clicker noise, in the bottom end wouldnt gain rpms or stay started. so what part is it that broke on the car. im getting a new motor just wanted to knwo whats wrong with this one, thanks.

Sounds like you spun a rod bearing. Though the shavings should be more metallic/silver.

Others may help you a bit more though.

Spun rod bearing.

Golden from the oil and heat. You may have damaged the crank, you probably damaged the rod.

ok thanks ya i figured it prolly was all broke and no good so im buying a new shortblock, i justed wanted to know for me, thanks
