I just recently put eibach sportlines w/ tokico blues onto my 94 hatch. On the highway where we have alot of construction I can feel every little bump, and anything more than a bump shakes the car a lil. Its kinda annoyin me now.

Is this normal and should I be expecting this if I want a lowered car with good launch ??

by the way, they are shocks/springs from a 94-01 teg

my sportlines ride awesome and others Ive driven on have felt the same. Its normal to "feel the road" but if its more then that the only things that I can think of is that you didnt cut the bumpstops and you may just be riding on the bumpstops the whole time.

when I had sportlines on my coupe they weren't that stiff. could be the bumpstops like tom said.

I think so, cuz I i hear this creaking noise from rear passenger side shock tower. I think I might have installed it improperly. I'll check it out soon, what exactly do you mean "bumpstops" ?? The struct cap ??

nah theres a bumpstop inside the dust cover. its yellow. you're suppose to cut it. Let me see if I can find a pic. number 12 on here is the bumpstop

thanks, i talked to tom and he said to cut all 4, so i gotta go back and do that, about much do I cut off ?

the bumpstops are probably causing it , but also you have teg rate springs and shocks which will ride stiffer due to the fact that there made for a heavier car

i had a question about sportlines, and guess what i search, jk. i was wondering which part of the bumpstop do you keep the more fat part or the skinner part and about how uch do you cut off. also does anyone have a pic with eibach sportlines on an eg hatch with 16's and 205-40-16's

the instructions say to cut the bottom of the bumpstops, 35mm front and back. now my question, what struts are you guys running with your sportlines?

Man you cut the bumpstops in half. The struts/shocks, you have to ask someone else about which ones to ride on with the Sportlines.

well your shocks are not ment for your springs .. if you get stiff springs with normal or "comfortable" shocks you get the bumpyness .. if you upgrad your shocks to somthing well matched to your sping rates.. it would help 100x's better ..

IE: blistiens, koni yellows,agx ajustables ect ..call ebach and ask them what would be a good combo they should no best

i've got sportlines with koni yellow's, and i love the ride quality. You can't expect that much from a lower sus.

just get used to bumping around and "feeling" the road

I got H&R sports for my 00 civic and instructions say not to cut the bumpstops at all.

Yea cut the bumpstop and use the thick part (upper half )

I have H&R Race springs(Integra rate) with Koni Yellows rides great

H&R sports do not lower the car enough to have to cut them from what I remember. You need to with their race springs.

wow i have just cut off how much ever i felt like doing how ever i have never ran spring rates that would even allow my car to get close to the bumb stop


and serously if ANY sportlines are too stiff for you then just get out of the performance secne, you could put sprot lines for a tl, or rl, i they still wont be stiff. grow some *****, also never heard anything good about the blues, never had any personal experance but no one ever seems to liek them as a performance damper
