Default Exhaust Recommendations 2000 Civic SI

I have a completely stock SI and I am planning on turbo later down the road... but until then I want to get an exhaust... BUT I don’t want one that is high pitched and yall know what Im talking about... I would also like as big as piping as possible... any opinions would be appreciated... It can be loud but low pitched and well rounded as far as performance goes... Thanks!

Hold off. If you are ACTUALLY going turbo (since everyone on the planet is either getting a swap or a turbo, but only a tiny percent actually do), then the exhaust that you have on your car when it's NA won't work very well when you turbo it, and vice versa. An overly large-diameter exhaust on a stock engine will be a detriment.

That said, Mugen Twinloop is big $$$, but it's also one of the best-sounding exhausts on the planet. Not so great for turbo, though.

Apex WS is quiet and nice, too.

I would only consider the Mugen or Spoon mufflers, I hate the way those huge 4 inch tip mufflers look

if your on a budget just peice one together, i have 2.5 inch pipiing w/ resonator to a dynomax welded ultraflow oval race muffler looks stock sounds really deep, not too loud when cruising but sounds mean at WOT. and the ultraflow is designed to be straight through no baffles in the muffler like a flowmaster, magnaflows also have a similiar design to the ultraflow

from my experiances the Apexi N1 sounds good inside the car but outside it is raspy as hell i kinda like it but alot of people hate it but does get annoying after a while. I had a 5 zigen on my car and LOVED IT! 99si with a shitload of bolt ons. Then i had a thermal ddin't like that took that off and ran open downpipe for turbo and loved that!

Does anyone have or know where to fine some sound clips and pictures on the car for any of these listed here?

Thanks for all the input!

i have the a'pexi n1 on my si, and i'm happy with it. although, there are times when it gets a little too loud.. so i stick the silencer in it.

when i installed my jdm 4-1 header and carsound cat, the thing just screamed.
