Default B18A head on B20B block... will it work? any hp/tq gains?

Has anyone ever heard of putting a LS head on a CR-V (B20B) block? If so what was the horsepower and torque? Would that be like having a stroked B18A or just a waste of time? The B18A we built to stock specs and it dyno'd 116whp and 128.5 torque in a 91 CRX SI. Thanks,
Cody

some cams do have more duration...but is so little you will NOT see it on a dyno or feel it on the street. don't know which years it is that have the longer duration cams.

you might gain a little by putting a LS head on a crv block just because the combustion chamber is a little smaller cause of the bore size. i work at a honda dealership and the crv's and only crv's are having problems with the valves. they like to chip away.

You're wrong, why can't people get this right, the combustion chambers on all b non vtec heads are the same. The b18b/b20 heads have slightly larger ports than the older b18a heads but it's nothing to get excited about. The differences between all b non vtec heads are NEGLIGIBLE.

if you put a 90-91 b18a1 head you will lose around 7whp put a 92-01 head and you wil have the same horsepower.
they are both the exact same head no difference at all, cams on the b20 heads are the same cams as 92+ b18a,b, now put a 94+ b18b intake manifold and you will def again around 8whp over the b20b IM, the difference between them is like night and day, they are really made for low end torque.
just dump that b8a1 head and put a b16/18c head and you wil gain around25 whp, best bang for the buck since the dc jdm header.
