can the my 90 accord's bottom end handle the high rpms for a h23 engine and h22 head?
You will have to do more than you know to put a h23 or h22 head on your f block...look in the prelude forum, one guy in there is making the ultimate frankenstien mota.
And your subject line doesn't have to be so damn long

on my last topic some one had said that h23 engines are reliability is hard to come by with these engines if so shouldn't i just keep my engine and just get mods done to it?
i think what people said was that custom made H23 VTECs, a motor that uses a H23 block with a H22 head, can have problems if not built right and they are difficult to build right. many shops think cause they can build LS/VTECs that a H23 VTEC is the same, but from i have heard it's not. a normal H23 or H22 motor are reliable as any other honda motor.
The problems with many peoples h23vtecs are due to revving past what the crankshaft was meant to be revved to...and/or due to not building the engine right, for example not using oil squirters, etc. etc.
If you just build it right, treat it right, and don't abuse it, hopefully you should be fine.
I'm in the process of building my own h23vtec right now...already bought the jdm cylinder head w/ type s cams
fairly soon im gonna start looking for an h23 longblock. Anyone have one for sale?
