What are your number? Then we could help you out more. (provided you took the test already) Also did you change the cat?
Also if they run the car as a 95 coupe with a D15b7 you wont pass. Because your motor needs to be running like a D15b7. But if they run it as a B16 i see no reason that you shouldnt pass.

i havent taken the test yet, i will run a pre-test soon (friday). i put a new cat on two years ago (last smog check).
also they do run it as a d15b7 engine because thats what my car originally came with

get a new cat, or make sure yours is good. if its stock and not passing emission is it really worth it to pay that money to get it passed illegally? i mean that means your motor is runing shitty, if you can't get it to pass

I highly doubt your pass because of this alone. Because when i did my smog first they ran it like a D15 when i had a GSR and it would fail like ****, they switched it to GSR and i passed. So you might not pass because of that. Take the pre-test (<FONT SIZE="5">HIGHLY RECOMMONDED </FONT>) and come back with the numbers if you didnt pass. Try to take 2 pre-test one for the d15 and if you fail for the b16 and see if theres a difference (that way you could correct me as well

bull ****, unless you have an illegal smog person. in the state of california if you change motors at all (different from the stock) you need to get it ref'd. trust me i have been round and round with smog. hopefully spade will chime in also and back me up on it. if you have a b16a in there you will need to get it ref'd, that is the only legal way.

i know it needs to be reffed to get a bar sticker, but what im saying is that i just take my car to the smog station dont tell them **** about the motor swap, so when they run my car they think its the stock motor, i dont know about you guys but they just dont ask me what kind of motor i went them to test it as.
i cant just say "test it as a 99civic si b16 please"
i dont think you guys are understanding the question, the motor does not run like **** so it would be worth it to pay illegally.
naturally the b16 puts out more emmissions than a d15 so naturally when they test my car THEY (the smog guy ) thinks its a d15 and im putting out higher emssions than the d15 because of the b16.
i hope this clears things up a bit
