how can i tell how restrictive an NA exhaust is??? (besides diameter)
ignoring the piping diameter, how can u compare NA cat back systems with the same diameter and see which one is less restrictive than the other, someone told me it had something to do with resonators ?? what else is tehre. im talking about NA exhausts here
are louder ones usually less restrictive? is that how it works or is there more

Please, stop asking questions without searching. This is like the 5th topic I've seen from you about previously covered ****. Thanks!

the name brands catbacks like greddy, apexi, tanabe etc all perform about the same. the biggest difference is look and sound. if you want a quite tone the apexi ws is what you want. the quiet tone is due to the muffler design which does restrict flow a little when compared to say the greddy evo, but the apexi ws produces better mid range power inexhange for little less topend. so depending on what your looking make your decision. imo, the apexi ws is a great exhaust and still put down great hp numbers on the dyno withit.

o also i saw pics of the greddy evo and i noticed the piping diameter gets bigger on some parts and smaller on others , does this help make it less restrictive ? i have no idea how the muffler on that works though
also, are the catbacks with n-1 style mufflers (like skunk2) any less restrictive?
