Default B16 cost

Hey, my friend has a B16 out of a 2000 si for sale. It has under 20000 miles on it ctr cams, and type r ecu. About how much do you think this is worth. It is a US motor and the mile are accurate with paperwork. He wrecked his car and that is why he is selling. Thanks for any info.

BTW it is a complete swap he is selling along with ac but no ps.

Even I know it is worth more than that. I talked to him and he wants like 3 grand but that including a exhaust too. But I was thinking like 2 grand to 2200. What would be a fair price to offer him? Also he has ctr cams in it and his idle sounds like he is kinda revving it a bit. It sounds like it goes up to like 1400 rpms then down to 800 and so on. Is that normal?

damn man with that low of miles and it being usdm the longblocks only worth like 700 or so. BTW if I offer him like 2000 or so would that be fair. It is a complete swap without ps. And since it is in an eg it already has the right mounts and stuff.

actually... that would be more then enough 2g's.. because
1 you dont nee dthe ECU
2 you wont the need mounts from that car
3 you need to buy your own mounts from an integ..
4 you dont need the wireharness or injectors

Ya right now he has the engine swaped into a eg civic so the motor already has all the right mounts and stuff for my car. But thanks for your help. I'm probably gonna offer him like 2g and see what he says.

since it is a usdm motor...they are usually 2-400 dollars cheaper than jdm's. i jus bought a b16a2 si jdm motor for my car with stage 2 axles and a lsd tranny for 2690.00 so if you stay under my price you won't have a problem....besides if it does have 20,000 miles you might want to add a 100.00 with the low miles...
