I am going to look at a 98 civic hatch. It is silver, 5 sp. 31k. The guy says it was a florida car but I will still have to check for rust. My only concern is that it is a CX and it has no a\c. I can prob live without ps but I would really like a\c. How hard would it be to add a\c to a car without it? the guy is asking $6000. What do you guys think?

 

Check some of the honda parts websites, I think the a/c system was discontinued.

Also ask at the dealer or better yet, buy someones a/c system from this website. Just try and get all the necessary components.

 

2 problems..

looks like if you do go for the car its time for some recaro bucket seats....
its not that hard to add an A/C on just need the all the essential parts and need that climate control changed...
i would check carfax also cuz the mileage sounds alittle too far off.. $6k though thats a good price... but if this car was like a baby wid only 31k and it is legit then i dont think there would not be any rust problems... yea especially in florida it doesnt even snow there...

why does everyone think fl cars don't rust? I have a cx and it came with ac. did the guy take it off or was it an option?

I think that 6 g's is too much for a 98 cx with no ac, depending on condition though, afterall it does anly have 31 k? that could be worth it if true.

 

its 6 obo. The guy really wants to get rid of it. i could prob get him to 5g.

 

I doubt a 98 with that mileage in Fl will have rust. Especially if it was garaged.

 

i'm in so. cal. and having no a/c sucks. but if you just drive real fast with the windows down and buy a mister you'll be set
