How exactly are they a drifting mag? They feature cars of all sorts of makes and models and genres every issue. Just because they have an S15 on the cover makes it a drifting mag now???
Earl, reading the scan of the article, I think one of your major problems may be that you are running the skinnies in the front...
Remember: on a honda, the big tires go on the pointy end.

Glenn,
This is Rob (publisher of Modified Mag) ... perhaps before you bash our magazine, you should take a look at it.
We cover the entire sport compact scene... whether it be NDRA, NHRA, HIN, or D1. Just because we put a drifting car on the cover, does not make us a drifting-only magazine, nor does it give any conclusions as to what "direction" we are headed in. We are a performance magazine.
Please email me your address so that i can send you a copy of the June issue overnight. Perhaps then you can make a fair assessment of our magazine.
With respect to our coverage of the latest NDRA event, we have admitted that initially when it came out it was poor. Since then, we have done everything possible to correct it, and make it better. We were the only magazine to cover both the Formula D event and the NDRA event. Did they both turn out perfect? No. But that happens sometimes with freelancers. Hopefully our coverage that was corrected and updated on Wednesday is now to your liking. I believe it is in fact the only source for coverage. http://www.modified.com

Hey Rob, sorry for the bash. It was not intended that way. All I was saying was congratulations to Mike Laskey for his story/article making it in to an issue that was mainly about drifting and car shows. From the excerts I had seen, it looked like that issue was mainly about drifting, that is why I asked if his was the only drag racing article. I do apologize for sounding like I was truly bashing Modified Mag. It is one of my favorite magazines to read, and the event coverage has always been outstanding. I do understand the situation outside people can put You into, but I do realize that You and Your staff always try and rectify any problems once they are brought to Your attention. Keep up the good work.
You guys need a fact checker for the article headings?
Not to bash or anything, unless the new rules for HotRod class require skinnies in the front!
On a side note, modified is a pretty good mag
Better than anything primedia puts out!

I can seriously drift like those maniacs in my truck.. the lsd plus v8 power gets me sideways but u dont see my making a big deal about it.. let see some DRAG ACTION..

lol. Not to bash or to be concidered of bashing a mag. But anyways I have realized that lately modified mag has had a lot of drifting stuff in it. They has also started with this "Redline TV", which looks like it is all about the D1 drifting curcuit. But there is also NHRA on ESPN2 and Nopi on speedvision now, so i think that is enough with the import drag stuff but there isn't a big time spot for both shows(30mins each, should be an hour and should show like all the rounds, like the NHRA Powerade Series does). So i guess they are taking a new approach to the scene by going with the drifting, like they say in the preview for this REDLINE TV. Good Luck with that show. Ill watch as long it is dealing with imports other than HOT ROD TV and the "Domestic Boi's"LOL Thats My $0.02
good issue, it helped me through government and pre-cal classes a few weeks ago
definately a little too much drifting.. drifting is a trend, dont let it be all your mag covers... drag racing is where it started and where it will always be
but those vielside cars with the cherry blossoms look pimp :D

same thing here this thinking **** up stuff gets me through High school classes. But the truth is just like how they say "sex sells", its whats popular and what people want to read. But not what us drag race people want to read. I think modified should have two mags (Drag Modified and Drift Modified). Just my $.02 on the subject.

I am tiered of the ******* drift trend ...i mean dont get me wrong i love drifting but you cant find a ******* tuner mag w/ out a damn drift car on tha front ....and now apc(a co. i ******* hate casue its ricey as ****) has drift products out i mean thats when you know everybody and their bro has jumped on the freakin banwagon
Tired of the drift trend. You sure its a trend? Its been going on in Japan for some time now. As far as a show goes there isn't anything better than a D1 event. Go check one out its a lot of fun.
And as far as Modified Mag goes, I still think it is the nicest quality magazine in the industry. hands down. Now if they would only come out with a TV Show! Hello Spike TV
