I have a 5zigen fireball right now, it sounds really nice, but its a little to loud for me. Is there any performance exhausts out there that sound like the stock exhaust or just a tad bit louder than it? Im starting not to like these loud exhausts sounds X_x sounds ridculous. hehe anyways, im thinking maybe the comptech exhaust would be best? or would anyone know of any other? thanks in advance

I've been happy with my Comptech SS. Nice deep sound but not loud at all.

Yeah, but the 5zigen is also a nice, deep sound. (I have one)
I would say that the stock ITR one would be a good choice for you then.

I've got the WS, its no more loud than the ITR catback that my friend has.
I've got AEM->B18c1->DC header->Carsound 2.5" cat->Apexi WS...and its waaaaay quiet, only gets loud when vtec kicks in

Dumb question, but will the stock ITR muffler bolt up to a stock GSR exhaust?

Yeah Trevor. Thats what I have (basically) and you know how quiet it is . I have the RS, which got renamed to WS within the past year...I don't think much if anything at all even changed between the two.

If you have the extra money, I second the vote for the comptech SS catback when it comes to quality/sound/performance.

A guy at the autocross' has a Mugen. Its is very subtle looking and the sound is perfect. I think it is a full exhaust system rather than a muffler. It set him back about $1,100 for a prelude.

LOUD!!!!! 5 Zigen???? My friend Mike (RedRacinghart) just got the 5 zigen fireball full cat back exhaust. I don't think its loud at all, I love how it sounds. You actually cant hear it over the intake, its so low you can feel it though

Any aftermarket will be loud. ITR is probably best with good piping.

I had an Apex WS, and it was LOUD. It may have been the quietest aftermarket exhaust, but still, it was too loud for me. It's all relative. Apex WS sounded fat..too fat for me.

Time for me to get BMW..

The closest thing to stock is the Comptech or the Mugen twin loop, the Dc is pretty quiet too
