With drag sport magazine attempting to be the main source for the IDRC, they no longer have much of a season for 2004. nothign has happened and nothing is listed as a schedual for 2004 either. It's hard to believe that such a great racing organization could die from such a poor lack of support. DragSport Magazine was one of the main supports for the IDRC. Arias was named official piston of the idrc, (A bad move IMO, never name a single company as an official product of your organization. For a race even sure, but not over all). Anyway, Thought you guys would want to know. Too bad, I was looking forward to having more Texas races, but now looks like only the nhra and nopi races are the only ones left. Is Import drag racing going away? Why is it that amercian cars drag huge crows but our group tends to not show up for races? Why are we not supporting out drivers and our sport? Do you want it to all go away? Continue to not support the sport and go to events, and see how much longer we have official organizations for import drag racing. YES everyone, our sport is in trouble. We are not supporting it enough. We fight, bicker, poitn fingers and blame everyone else for our undoings, but int he end we only destry ourselves and our sports. Stop the madness start the healing!!!! Lets pull togetehr and start goingto these races. Start showing up for events in your local areas, Get involved in clubs not bashing groups. Anyone can poke fun at otehrs and their lack of knowledge ro car expirnece or even car. but it take sa real adult to say, "want to hang out and learn some stuff?" Teach eachother how to do things the right way. Stop thinking your way is the ONLY way to do something. There are most likley 10 different ways to accomplish the EXACT same thing. So try to remember that. Different is what makes this country great!. W/O free thiking we would all be liek china. Not being able to go anywhere in life and supressed under rule. With attitue and tempers flearing up over the dumbest thigns now days, we are suprssing ourselves and our sport. Every month I see sponsors leaving. Less and Less support for products and autos. We are importing more products than ever instead of leading the way with new and fresher ideas. The american muscle cars do exactly what we do not. They creat, inovate and uphold the highest integrety towards fellow racers. Here we tear down, destroy, make fun of, and over exagerate our capabilities because we think we look cool. Racing is NOT about cool. it's about learing, understand and respect. Respect of otehrs and your machines. When you stop doing either one, You loose.

Poke fun if you wish, but the IDCR not operational this year is a prime example of exactly what I'm talking about. While I do not like arias nor dragsport I do feel sad for any import organization that ceises to operate no mater who or what it is. It's a sad year folks. We lost about a dozen or so races this year. How many will we loose next year? It's up to US to show we want this. Us to show we are just as good as any old stinkin V8. Up to us to prove we can be productive and intelectual instead of degenerate and idiotic. Lets make every effort to go tot hose shows and races. If you miss one, Contact the sponsors and thank them for their kind support. This goes a long way. If we start something new like as fans thanking the sponsors and show support. We can show we have the ability to have top TV sports on espn, show we have the ability to have good competative races. Show we haev a good support from fans. It's the fans that make or break a sport.
