I have 97 jdm gsr in a 98 ls. every thing has worked until i gave up my conversion harness i ran an obd2 ls ecu an a obd2 gsr ecu for about a month both ecus were throwing second o2. The gsr recently started trowing vtec solenoid. Today my friend gave me a 97 jdm p73 ecu. the only code it throws is vtec solenoid. I rechecked all my wiring and it is all correct. I also changed the solenoid. and still no vtec. Any help would be appreciated.

 

The code throws when i rev up to where vtec should kick. the tach also goes a little crazy.after about 6000 And bounces at like 6500.

 

check your wire from the distrubutor to the tach, you may have a loose wire there. check to see if you are getting continuity from the solenoid to the ecu. and that pin A8 gets the vtec wire
