Default Insurance Question

I am considering buying a used S2000, either 2000 or 2001, I am 20 years old and have a kinda bad record, with a few tickets, but its been a long time since i have got into ticket trouble. Anyone else around 20 , what are you paying for INSURANCE???

Thanks.

S2000 insurance is not cheaper than an ITR I believe it is rated higher on the scale insurance companies use and at the least they are on the same level, but i would doubt it since the S2K is a conv. I get 180 a month on my S2K and I'm 23, but I've never had an accident and I don't have any tickets on my record. If I get one speeding ticket or one accident then it will shoot the price up to 230+ easily. Also, you get a small break in price at 21 (typically). What area do you live in? that will effect the price of your insurance greatly.

I'm 28, how much do you think it would be?

I pay $130 for my GSR, I was quoted the same for an ITR. So, I would GUESS I'd be in the 150 range. I have 1 ticket.

when you hit 25, rates seem to fall ~30%+ I went from almost $200 to where I am now in 1 year

I think 150 would be a fair estimate. Just call your insurance person and ask, they can find out in just a few minutes what it would cost.

just called.
It would be $1604/yr or $134/mo.

a RX8 would be only $116.

Surprising, considering my 5 year old GSR is $125.
