yea seriously. . they usually cant predict the weather correctly 2 days ahead nevermind 5. weathermen get paid to be WRONG, must be nice.
Only time I panic is when they have three CONSECUTIVE days in a row of pure rain... thats usually a good indication that at least "some" **** weather is rolling our way..
Here's the forecast from a website that is always preatty close.
Saturday
Partly cloudy. Highs around 70
---------------------------------------
Sunday
Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 60s
Hope the best for you guys, be safe and have fun!!!

super doppler Anthony here!
I haven't even looked at my forecast for this weekend yet. Anyway, I got VMP right on Tuesday I said sunny on Sat and cloudy on Sun. The t.v. guessers didn't say that until Thursday, they were calling for rain all weekend until then!

looking at my forecast now:
this is what you have to worry about, the storm just coming out of Texas:
http://www.goes.noaa.gov/ECIR1.html
winds will be blowing in from the south at a steady 11-12 knots through Saturday and Sunday which may help push the storm more to the north of Englishtown and just bring a few narrow bands of preciptation into the area throughout the day. This will be manageable by track personell.
Time to worry about is after 4 PM, which is into the final rounds. The stronger cells of the storm will be trying to push through and unfortunately the southerly winds will probably not be enough to push it north more then needed. Fortunately, the storm is somewhat slow moving now so we might not see it completely over the area until after 6pm Sunday when hopefully all finals are over. I haven't looked at all my maps yet but that is what I am seeing so far!
NHRA should do thier best on Sunday to ensure things go smoothly and push the rounds a bit to get this in. Just my 2 cents but I would gamble on going and this event will be run!

Better Not Rain , I'm flying up Saturday and Leaving Sunday night from FL. Definately don't want to fly away from the Rain / **** weather we usually have in the usmemrs here, to have it up there.
Ive been at Etown before when there was 80% chance of showers and not a drop of rain fell.
Etown is the bermuda triangle of weather patterns
Have some faith, it will blow over, not come at all, or just cause a speed bump in the day
