Hello fellow Hondanians...I have a 97 Accord SE Coupe w/ JDM H22A and 5speed conv...I've had this swap for about 7 months now. For the past 2 weeks, I've felt a loss in power. My car doesn't seem to pull as much anymore. I recently had to change out the distributor cap, rotor, and internal ignition coil pack (she just died on me on the freeway). I have done regular oil changes and been on top of my fluids. But lately, when I'm in 2nd, for instance, I hold that gear, and at about 3500rpm I'll stomp on it...and she seems a little hesitant. Then when I hit VTEC, I am really just hearing it and not feeling it. Any thoughts?

 

 

are you getting blow by? dude, that could be a BIG list of things that can go wrong.

first thing first, do a compression test.

 

after a compression test i would do a cylinder leak down to be sure where the air is going

 

I feel like i have the same problem. I feel like my car isnt as fast as it was before. When i hit vtec it just doesnt seem to pull like it used to. Also running 15.5 with i/h/e I know its not my driving. Something has to be wrong with mine too.
