Default --catback exhausts and turbo plans-- another question but different : )

earlier i asked what catbacks are good for boost, and i saw many replies directing me to go with custom 3 inches

(1) if i do not go custom 3" , and i go something like 60 mm / around 2.38 will i even lose that much power if i am boosting low?

(2) i am not going to work my internals and i am going to keep my automatic transmission (yea i know theres power loss haha)... basically stay stock on those. so if i boost, i would have to boost low anyway so i can keep my car safe and not hurt it right ?????

(3) low boost as in 6 psi or something? what do u recommend for psi?

(4) and if i dont even lose that much power at low boost with a 2.38 inch exhaust compared to a 3 (again cus im not working internals + auto tranny) i might as well just get a 2.38 exhaust instead of custom 3

(5) i have heard of people boosting on greddy evos 60-70mm ( https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=815004&page=1 ) is the greddy evo an NA exhaust? and if so, will it even rob me of that much power compared to a 3 inch custom turbo exhaust (again if i go low boost) would this be a good choice ??

any recommendations for exhaust systems?????

u c right now i just want a catback, i am not going to turbo until the far future which is like when i graduate college or something : ) i want something i can drive around with right now and still be able to use later for boosting purposes.
plus i dont wanna wait until i actually boost to buy the catback cus thats like in some years, also i dont want to go custom

i duno if my points are correct or not but feel free to reply and correct me i am willing to learn : )

(6) o also wouldnt it be a stupid idea to drive with a 3 inch custom turbo exhaust when i dont even have turbo yet? haha, would that even help performance in any way for now?

all of the catbacks made for the accord are designed for n/a use. 60mm pipe may not hurt power to badly since you'd only be running low boost, but you really should be going custom 2.5 inch at the very least. honestly 3 inch maybe overkill since your not going to pushing alot of boost. if you can maybe get 2.75 inch.

getting a custom exhaust (2.5" +) is ok, as long as its a true cat back...just make sure when u get the turbo, u get a good downpipe....if it was me, id wait and do a full turbo-back exhuast, but thats just me........you would lose a bit of power w/ 3in NA...........

some other points......
Thermal R&D makes the only name brand turbo exhaust for accord
6psi is low boost, but why not run 8?....ur internals can EASILY take 10+ (not sure how well the tranny will hold up though....)
one advantge to a custom 3 or 2.5 is that in the end, it SHOULD cost you less money than all the name brand bling bling

<==victim of the bling effect.....

Thermal does not make a 3 inch Turbo setup for the accord. i agree definetly run atleast 8-10psi. A good well fabricated custom exhaust is still expensive especially if you use a name brand muffler like an Apexi N1. i would contact member Kteller and see if he can get you a 2.5 or 3 inch setup for your car.
