tire pressure chart?
does anyone have some sort of a tire pressure chart that they use during different weather situations? i know the track plays a huge roll on this but just wondering if any of you guys use something like this to keep track of tire pressure and all the conditions at the track. thank you

me and my friends just run the car down the track and see what pressure it grabs the most on....on our slicks it was 8lbs....was perfect for us...
It's in my head, if the track temp is 60, do a 7-sec burn out if the track 70 4-sec burn out if the track is 80 and above do a 2-sec burn out. Now if the track is 40 and below GO HOME lol.

Does how long you do a burn out really play a big role in how the tires hook up? I thought the longer you burn out the better?

Good question because I'm going to the track soon to try my new slicks and would really like to know how long to burn them.

Yes it does, when a track temp is 60 and you do a short burn out by the time you stage the tire temp has droped big time, when the track temp is 70 it wants to hold the heat is the slicks longer.

You would have to ask a M/T dealer, I only no our compounds.
Now to ask on Barometer now you are talking about weather, weather plays a roll on every type of racing Hot, coooold and so on, it all starts @ the engine and you are talking about atmospheric pressure right. If you do not have the good air you do not have the HP to put down to the wheels and the slicks will not do the job.
