Rear brake lights stay on...keeps killing battery
So this is another one of my engine swap problems....
Background: had an accident...got the had engine swapped along with the tranny (auto to manual)
Every time I park my car, the rear brake lamps stay on. If I pull on the brake pedal with my foot it goes off for a sec then after it settles it goes back on after it settles. Basically it seems like it is set way over sensitive. Can anyone help?
(remember I had an automatic with two pedals...now it's got three...if that makes a difference)

Readjust the height on your brake pedal so that it sits higher and depresses the button that shuts off the brake light circuit.
The button switch to the brake pedal needs to be adjusted down. Loosen the nut around the switch and thread it down more to where it firmly is against the tab on the brake pedal - then tighten the locking nut on it. The button is what controls the brake lights. Automatic or Manual doesn't make a difference as the button switch is the same for both. Converting my '90 GS to a five speed was one of the best things I've ever done with the car sofar.
