Anyone ever have trouble with their Shifter on the Arrr?
While I was coming home from Hanging with a few Local Honda nuts...
I started to have more and more trouble shifting, by the time I got home It sounded like a box of nuts&bolts rattling under the car and it was getting stuck in some of the gears Reverse was the worst.
I'm going to go under and see whats happening but If someone has any thoughts on this please say something.
(its so bad I thought My tranny was blowing up/ maybe it is
)
I had to take the day off from work to fix this- so ya know its bad.

That would be pretty bad... Very bad.
But I can still press the clutch in and out very smooth. Like I said its rattling from the shifter itself.
So I'm thinking you could be wrong.

I'm going through the same thing. Changed the fluid and sprayed the linkage underneth with grease to no avail.
Next up is to replace with ES inserts and try again.

Well I changed the clutch fluid and tranny fluid.
Inspected all the shifter linkage.
Here are the results.
Clutch fluid was standard dirty nothing to talk about.
Tranny fluid was black and had small metal particals in it, Last time I changed it was 5000 miles ago
I took it out for a test drive, and it does feel better 1-5 but reverse is still pretty ruff getting into and out of.
After looking at the shifter linkage, nothing seems out of the ordinary, loose, bent or broken. the ES shifter bushings still look the same...
Could it be internal or something with the clutch preventing me from getting in and out of reverse?

Hey, sorry I missed you guys the other day.
Rob, are you really mean to transmissions and related stuff? Curious how mine fares since I have no issues yet, [pounds head into desk]. I remember seeing your car come out of gear at LRP and hope it ain't anything really bad.

Is there a lot of vibration in your shifter? Because it could be your clutch.
When I had my Type R, I had a similar case like yours. I would have trouble getting into gears and also when I was driving, I could take it out of 3rd without pressing the clutch in, and also I felt a lot of vibration in the shifter
But when I would press the clutch in, it would be smooth, but I would hear a hiss sound when I would let up on it.
I took it to the dealership and after a technician test drove it, he dropped the tranny and found that a little part of the spring broke off and was lodged in disc. He told me that I was lucky that I was able to shift still

OK... The car has been popping out more and more out of third (only third) and is a SOB to get into and out of reverse.
I really don't think its the clutch, it feels great as it allways has the ******* has no abnormal vibs in it.
Oh yes I am the tranny killing ****...
No really,,, I beleive its the last rebuild that was not up to par.

Does your tranny wind at all....could you have thrown bearing perhaps. I have done this but the description of yours in no where near as bad as mine.
I was also thinking that but if it was bent I should have a hard time engaging all the gears, right?
B18C-Rsi, Not a sound not a vibe, just plain normal.
