Default B20 rods in a b16!!?

ok so i was on endyn's site lookin at rollerwaves and i noticed that the B16 selection was broken into two parts, B16A(all) and B16A(with B20 connecting rods)
so i did a search and came up with nada, what's this buisness, what are the gains, what displacement could you expect and how does it affect compression?
heres a link.

You need custom pistons with the pin moved up, several people make them.

This moves your power band up in the rpm range so you can run higher speeds in a given gear. I would imagine that a road course with longer straight aways this could be beneficial.

what advantage does it have over a tranny with longer gears?
and would it affect compression or displacement?

doing that doesnt increase displacment, but can raise compression. It also doesnt make your gears any longer or let you hang on to gears any longer. Its just lets you rev slightly higher do to the better rod to stroke ratio. If you got a tranny with longer gears, youre engine would have a harder time as is pulling through the gears.

I know I'm bumping an old post but it's better than starting a new one, there was very little in the archives regarding this.

I saw this on Endyn's site as well and I had similar questions. Does it only shift the powerband? It won't help create any more power than normal? Or torque due to the longer stroke? Does it require a B20 crank or a B16 crank with just B20 rods and the special pistons made for this app?

It will not affect stroke. It only changes the rod/stroke ratio by using a longer rod with a shorter piston. The idea is that it slows piston speed near tdc allowing it to dwell there a little longer for a better burn at high rpms. I dont know if the b20 rods have different sized rod journals than a b16, but i would think they are the same.
