Question about GSR
I got a stock gsr internals...i been researching about skunk2 stage2 cams...and i read that most cams you need to rev pass 8k to get the power....my question is...if i get the cams and a vafc will it be safe to rev pass 8k...will i blow out my bottom?...another thing is...what will happen if i just put in the skunk2 stage 2 with stock valvetrain?...i know it's a bad idea...but just wondering what will happen

One thing that could happen is you split a retainer, drop a valve into the motor and destroy both your top and bottom end. Happened to me with ITR cams going to 9,000 on a stock GSR valvetrain

ya... stock gsr valvetrain shouldn't be tested much past stock... no guarantee it will last long at all. The bottom end if completely stock will be subject to a possible spun bearing, but some people do it and may tell you otherwise.
If you're gunna do something, do it right the first time.

That extra .6 C/R really helps when trying to run a cam as aggressive as the stage2's Still with either you'll need to upgrade your valvetrain
