Just because a S2000 is salvage does it hurt its resale?
I was wondering why S2000's when salvaged titled still are in the high 17k to 19K price range? please explain.

If it's salvaged, low mileage, and priced in 17-19k, that is very cheap and inexpensive.

its that cheap most of the time because of an accident and/or year00 or 01. And even then at that price it doesn't always sell like hotcakes, people dont really like to buy salvage titled cars at that high of a price.

Not necessarily. Crash isnt the only reason for salvage. if someone steals the seats and rims(usuallyt he headlights, tail lights, dash too) insurance will salvage it. If you have access to the parts, or some one rebuilt a non hit theft salvaged car, it can be a good value imo.
***Edit...As far as resale, it hurts resale vs bluebook and market value. Should not hurt resale too vs what you pay as long as you arent paying market value for a clean title car.***

Not necessarily. Theft recovery/total losses are also salvaged titles.

it'll still be considered a salvage, and wont be easy to sell and insurance will be more than a non-salvage titled car, that's if you can insure it.
