Default Valve Cover Bolts

I just finish painting my valve cover...when i was screwing back in the bolt....i accidentally over tightened the one of the bolts....and i heard something snap...and the bolt was loose all of sudden...will the valve cover still hold down? any oil leaks? its the lower right bolt.....

i've had this happen twice. You will more than likely have oil leaking out. It leaked out all over the place on mine when I drove to honda to get a new bolt. I would recommend replacing it as soon as possible. You will probably have to take the valvecover back off and get the remainder of the bolt that is stuck in your head out. I had to use a drill and an ez out to get the thing out. It sucked

Yup, bad bolt to overtighten. Try driving around the block a couple times and see how much oil you are losing. If you do have to drive it to honda to pick up a new bolt, take some extra oil with you just in case.

My friend did this to my motor when we were switching up valve covers, we got his father to take a tiny as drill bit to it and slowly backed it out. Was not fun at all but luckly no damage, not that I have been able to tell and this was months ago.
