alright guys, i just bought this 88 crx si, and sometimes when my girlfriend is driving it she will stall and the car wont want to turn back on, and everytime there is like a grinding noise when we turn the key to start it. would that be the altenator?

 

my car did that when i first started driving and always stalled it out.but mine didnt make a grinding noise...i was told that it was something in my starter.

 

first of all maybe u should not let your girl drive and second it would be your starter not to be a dick but if it does it on her than maybe its the driver does it do it on u

 

you gotta chill out on the cranking, the grinding is you/her destroying the starter. your started could be going. but until it goes, dont try cranking the **** out of it once it stalls, push in the clutch and give it a minute.
