Need some help with MPFi swap...
hey...
I'm in the middle of a MPFI swap right now and need a bit of help with a few things...
Theres a place for a hose coming off my engine, but I cant figure out where it goes on this manifold.. On the old manifold it was like an upside down J shaped hose that went into the manifold by the runners, but I cant find it on this one.
Pic 1

And the last one, theres a space for a hose on the left side of the manifold, by the throttle body, and I cant figure out where this hose goes.
Pic 2

Other than that, I'm basically done this swap... I cant wait to get this thing running... If you can help out with any of these 3 things, i'd really appriciate it.
thanks
Jamie

http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/crxmanual/ go to fuel emissions then check electrical connections, and vaccum connections. just check the whole section of fuel emissions it was very helpful when i did my mpfi swap. that extra connection i had too... i never used it. so just hide it
alright, thanks a lot man, i'll see if i can figure anything out from that site....
and u didnt use that connection then? i guess ill just tuck mine away somewhere then too
anyone else?

yo,, .. i just swapped in a D16a6 into my Car, and that wire thats coming from the back of the intake manifold is still dangling. The car is running and everything is straight, but i still dont know where that goes. I left it there, but the only place i would think it would fit is on the back left firewall bracket(two small canisters on it).. by the map sensor.??... dont try to plug it there because i'm not sure, but its the only plug that looks the same ?? ........
I can check my engine bay to see where those hoses go, but the car is at my GF's house. But if your still stumped tomorrow, i'll post up a picture for you ^_^

I have the exact same mani as the one you pictured.
The dangling wire is the Fast Idle Thermal Valve, FITV. It is not needed, so just tuck it away some where.
The black PCV box, the hose that is circled in blue above me, that plugs into it.
The red circled one has a hose that goes to the under neath connector on the throttle body, and that will go and connect to the EAVC.

alright, so i figured out the electrical connection problem.. just leave it there...
But I still have those two hoses to figure out.... I think I found one of them out

Like this?

although I still have no idea where the hose in pic 1 goes to... On the dpfi system, it went to the pcv valve.. and I've also noticed that at the end of my pcv valve, there is a cut hose, I have the hose going into the pcv valve, but where does the hose coming out go to? Does it go to the place in pic 1??? They're different sizes tho, thats the problem...
I was hoping to have my car running again for tomorrow, but so far im not having the best of luck

on your old hose that came out of it from the DX, like 180 bend hose. It might have a 'small' connecter still attached to it. Look for it, and plug that connecter into your new hose underneath that swivles.
and that blue line you just made, is correct.
and that blue line you just made, is correct.

The white is on top, and the blue with pink tip is underneath. The green is there just to show that the hose swivles around. Its a pretty stiff hose, doesnt bend at all.
The pink tip is that connecter piece I am talking about, might be what you called that 'cut' piece.
alright man.. I think ive got this figured out now.. I'm gonna go try it right now.. after I get that hose on.. I should be ready to put everything together and start it
I'll be back if I run into any problems
thanks for the help
