Im boosting 10 pounds and making a little over 250 hp and I got beat by a stock automatic 98 camero. Can anybody tell me what just happened

maybe you need to learn to drive?

 

3 things:

1. Bad turbo install and has leaks.

2. Not a stock Camaro.

3. You need to learn how to drive.

I'm going with that one.
Just cause your making 250 hp doesn't mean that you can drive. Anybody can make 250 hp.
Just because your set-up "should in theory" run 13's doesn't meant that you will.
Hell I remember my first day at the track, i was nervous/excited running 10psi on my b16 I could only manage a low 15 sec ET.....doesn't seem rite for 10psi on a b16, but hat was because I could drive worth ****......fast forward to today........see sig @ 12psi.

 

learn to drive, you should have taken that! that is if everything is running right.

 

Was this from a dead stop? If it was never underestimate an Auto ls1, traction owns you

However if this race was not at a dead stop then
you either

1) cant drive
2) something is wrong with your car
3) or the guy lied to you, trust me domestic guys are notorious for failing to tel you all thier mods

 

Thats because they don't want to lose to an import.....

bad turbo install

camaro wasnt stop

it might need to be tuned

you suck at driving

you broke the welds on your intake

 

talked to the guy again hes all stock and told me that LS1's will take any ricer. He was a real dick. we went from a 20 punch and it was'nt my driving he just up and walked away from me.

 

You just suck at driving, A boosted integra Should stomp a Stock Camero any day

 

you should at leasat give him a run for his $$$ especially from a rollin start

 

ummm different story but i raced my friends 89 camaro i-rock...(305 small block) and wasted him by 2 cars...but thats when i let him catch traction before i launched..camaro was stock...i was too except for the 5zigen catback.

20 punch you should start in 1st gear.. If you started in 2nd gear from a 20 roll you would bog(could be your first problem).. If you started in 1st gear: the first question I ask you is what kinda tires do you have?? anything but a drag radial will spin from a 20 roll.. Tires spinning on your car and not the LS1 hes going to walk away from you.. Say your on radials; you are a bad driver and you react late, shift early before redline, and shift slowly... you lost!!! say thats not the case and he pulled you hard anyways and you didn't bog/spin.... Hes either lying about his mods, and is not stock, or something is wrong w/ your set up.. From a roll there are not too many variables.. A stock LS1 goes 103-105 in the 1/4 depending on the day it was built, the driver, and the model type(effects wieght).. A 250whp Integra should do about the same.. Again, from a roll w/ next to no variables effecting the race the car w/ the higher trap speed wins.. A 105 car to a 103 will edge out in front off a 20 roll @ about 60mph to one car and continue to put another car to 100. How bad did he beat you?
