Can I mount my block to the engine stand using my head bolts??
I'm puting my block on the engine stand and I don't need the head bolts, does anyone know if they are acctuly the right size and if it's safe to do that?? thanx
It doesn't really seem like a good idea to me. I'd just take the head bolts with you to a parts store, or supply/hardware store and match them up.
For the little bit of money it will cost it is a pretty cheap insurance that you wont have any troubles down the road.

If it's a Honda engine, you can't use the head bolts on the tranny mounting holes.
Head bolts are of different size and thread pitch.
Head bolts are M11x1.5 and tranny bolts are M12x1.25.
Go to the hardware store and pick up (2) M12x1.25x80mm or 90mm bolts depending on the stand arm lengths, and then a pair of 1/2"xreally long bolts with washers and nuts to secure the bottom holes on the block without threads.

****!! sorry ok, I meant main bolts, they seem to go right in, ill check if they are the same size in my Helms manual, I'm just asking cuz I think that the stock honda main bolts will be alot stronger than any bolt i get at AutoZone.
ok, The main bolts ar 11x1.25 and the tranny bolts are 12x1.25. They are just a little too small, off to the store I am.
