i recently got my radio stolen ( thieves!) but one of my friend gave me his 99 civic si radio, as i was about to plug it in i realized that the harnesses were different.. from what i heard cars that were made 98 and before share the same harness.. and cars made after that uses similar harness.. so i was wondering if anybody can post up some how-to's or any sort of diagram that can help me wire this thing up.. help me guys!!!!!!

 

your best bet is go to best buy or a circuit city and tell them you need this stuff:

Metra harness part # either 80-1720, or 70-1720. Doesn't matter which

This peice they may need to special order, but tell them that's ok, you want it. And don't let them tell you they can't get it, they are just being lazy then.

Metra harness part # 71-1721, may also be listed as CC-1721, but i believe the 71-1721 is the real part #.

The 1720 harness will plug right into your car, the 1721 will plug right into the back of the 99 Si radio. The colors between the two plugs will match up so you can wire it up in no time.
