is the bov open at idle. mine sure is. but in boost it closes

Default is the bov open at idle. mine sure is. but in boost it closes

is it normal or did i hook it up wrong. i have a vortech bov on my rev hard kit

blow off should not be open in vacuum.

how do you expect it to release the excess pressure then? Last time I checked, when you let off the throttle under boost, you go into vacuum.

Yes, it is normal for the BOV to be OPEN in vacuum and closed under acceleration and boost.

Mine was always open, but only slightly, and it created a whistling sound every time the rpm's dropped to around idle.
