Default Re: shift linkage removal (Royalty)

Which end? Transmsiison or at the shifter on the body of the car? At the Transmission end remove the 12 mm (head) bolt from the stabizer bar???? then shift the transmission into a gear 1st,3rd,or 5th (having the smallest amount of shifter shaft coming out of the transmission as practical) drive the roll pin out. This pin is under a collar under the rubber boot (if it, the boot, is still intact). I use the proper sized pin punch but have seen references to using the appropriate sized bolt to drive the pin out (up is easiest). Remember, however that this is the shaft that shifts the transmsiion so be frim but not stupid when hitting the pin.

The body end is much easier as two bolts (10-12??? mm head) into the shifter and two in the shifter stabliazer that hold most everly thing up. I would have to consult my Helms manual to be sure. Just look up under there and it should be apparent.
