how do i wire secondaries?
i put a 98 Gsr swap in my 00 LS integra...i'm trying to wire secondaries...my car only pulls at 5700...no 4400 Vtec...but it has a Vtec type power at 5700...im guessin its because i'm runnin a p72 with no secondaries...
but i ran the pnk/blue wire from the secondary box to A17 on the ecu...where do i run the other wire from the box...and what color is that wire? is it on the same plug as the pnk/blue wire?
i wire that other wire to a power source...and it kept blowing my fuel pump fuse...someone help me out!

what ecu do you have in the car? obd1 conversion? I'm kinda assuming that you have an obd1 conversion as the obd2b ecu that would go in your car wouldn't work due to immobilizer.
With an ecu that has a switched ground for the secondaries (obd1) you run that to the ecu and in my car I got power at the fuse panel (wrap wire around the post of the fuse and plug in fuse (you can also tap an injector wire supposedly but I try to leave that kind of stuff alone), make sure you wrap around the fused side so you don't fry out anything).
I'll post more once I get off work, can't remember wire colors or specifics right now.

ya i tapped into the injector...and it blew the fuel pump fuse........
i'm runnin an obd1 p72...with jumper...
i wired the pnk/blue wire to a17...and there is a plain black wire on the secondary plug that is left...where does that go?!

there's two wires, one goes to ecu and the other goes to fuse panel (my setup at least) I think I put the black one to the ecu as the obd1 ecu has a ground trigger (gives ground or gives voltage) to release iab's. I dunno though cause I wired them up at first per obd2 diagrams and then switched pins per obd1. I'll put up some pics later if you haven't gotten it.

at the plug..., dont' pay attention to the color of the wires, just the position of them in the plug as like I said, I think I swapped them.

the one on the top (where release is) is going to 12v, the one on the bottom (red) is going to ecu.

kinda ghetto but that's how I'm getting power, note how it's on the side that doesn't have power if the fuse blows. wrap wire around that side and put in.

obd2b(99ex)-obd1 conversion, don't think this part will be completely accurate for you but for future ref. (middle plug, the one that's sticking out)
and finally, on the obd1 plug.
hope this helps, let me know how it turns out...

ok...how come your wires are so long....i can't even get mine to come up past the valve cover...where exactly is the secondary box? can u take a pic of that too? i'm pretty sure i know where it is...but i wanna make sure...cuz my wires are really really short....thanks for the pics though!

The other wire is BLK or it could be YEL/BLK I have been told by VtecVillain to on OBD2 to run the other wire to ground on the thermostat. and on OBD1 to run the other wire to 12V+. that can be found at the IACV just tap into the YEL/BLK wire.
But my car works the opposite of that I have an OBD1 car ,engine and ECU and I have the other wire grounded and My secondaries work great.

that's how I had mine at first, didn't work. Obd2 secondaries are almost the exact opposite. the ecu shows/releases ground in obd1 to activate secondaries where obd2 engines give 12v and the other wire gets grounded anywhere.....

sup mike, i think i figured it out for ya, take the ground wire and run it to a17, then take the other wire and run it straight to a power source
let me know how it works
let me know how it works
that worked..thanks alot guys...now i gotta figure out why i don't have a Vtec crossover at 4400...can't hear it at all...just hear the secondaries at 5800...thats it..
the Vtec cross over is very subtle. you can't really hear it you can just feel it a bit. cruz down the road kinda slow in third and step on it kinda lugging the engine. and watch the Tach see if you feel anything when you hit 4400
ya...i don't hear any tone difference....i checked my sel to see if it clicks(by running a wire from that to battery) and it clicks...just can't hear crossover at all.
