pretty much any filter on its own (K&N, foam) will give you 1-2 HP max, if that. But they're reusable, cleanable etc...

That is all you are going to say? Tell us what you have heard and where you heard it....

Vague generalizations don't help anybody.

This Spoon filter makes about 3hp and it increases engine response. For DRAG purpose then I will not recommend it but for uphill downhill applications then its not a bad idea to get one.

They are the same, except for the color (Power Filter 2 vs. Spoon).

Get the Apex'i filter, it has been tested to be the best one out there. The Spoon filter is way over price. If you have to have one, just get the Monster2 filter, same thing.

Are you talking about this Apex'i filter:

From their Web site:
The dual funnel Power Intake evolved from the highly successful Super Intake. Subtle refinements in the design and filter element resulted in a 10% reduction in pressure drop. Utilizing an upper and lower funnel, the Power Intake reduces air turbulence within the filter and creates smooth air flow into the throttle body. The Power Intake is a maintenance-free dry-type air filter and will alleviate the problem of filter oil from "wet" air cleaners interfering with the air-flow meter. Accept no imitations.

Does anybody have this and can comment on it? It looks like it is $188.00

Yes, that's the one I am talking about. Option's Mag. in Japan did a testing on filter. They compared some popular intake in Japan including the HKS and K&N, they found the Apex'i filter the best and give the most hps gain on a Skyline.

Saw this filterbefore and I was quite interested in it...
Does anybody have the dimensions of this sucker?
Looked everywhere for it but can't seem to find it.

Will it cram into a stock air box or Icebox?

Thanks for any info...

Spoons Filter is pretty much equilvilant Monster Power Filter 1. Compare to Monster Power Filter2, Spoon has better flow with its material.
