mini me swap questions???? 89 CRX SI D16Y8 HEAD
IF I RUN THE D16Y8 HEAD WILL THE ECU NEED ADAPTED TO MY HARNESS? OR DOES SOMEONE MAKE AN ADAPTERHARNESS?? HOW CAN I RUN A RPM SWITCH TO CONTROL VTEC?? WILL I NEED ANYTHING ELSE TO COMPLETE THE SWAP??
ANYONE????
ANYONE????

No need to yell...but...there's an ECU alternative to this besides using a VAFC. You can run an 89-91 B16A PR3 ecu and have it reprogrammed to comply with your mini-me setup. If you happen to come up on a PR3 ecu, hit me up and I can reprogram the PR3 to work with your mini-me.

I hear you can, but its better to use a VTEC ecu vs. a non-vtec ecu + VAFC, because of the programming a VTEC ecu has 2 sets of fuel & timing maps (1 set before vtec crossover and another set while in VTEC), whereas the non-vtec ecu only has 1 set of fuel & timing maps. So you're not really running at optimum power using a non-vtec ecu + VAFC on your setup. VTEC will kick on regardless, because of the VAFC, but your VTEC fuel & timing maps aren't there.
