Default D16y8 head swap

I want to do a D16y8 to myd15b7, I know that i will need a p28 E.C.U, but will i need a new wiring harness. Also what kind of benefits would i get from doing this besides vtec?

better flowing head, and you dont need the wiring harness just the vtec wire ran to the ecu from the solenoid
